Ceara is one of Brazil's more drier states. The capital city of Fortaleza is one of the most modern city's in the country with a very busy tourism industry. On of the popular communities on the coast is called Tatajuba. It boats stunning beaches, sand dunes as well as lagoons that are both man made and temporary, depending on the oceans tides. Local art and handicraft made of straw and crochet are a particular favorite with tourists. Local seafood and fish are delicious and cheap for gourmets. There are some amazing places to be seen in and around the state with many believing themselves to have landed in the Caribbean along the impressive coastline.
Property investors will delight themselves at the offers that can be found throughout Ceara. Absolute beach front properties with your own beach (or so it seems) can be had for a bargain. The hardest part will be to decide which area to live in, since there are so many gorgeous locations. It is definitely a world away from traffic jams, corporate stresses and jam packed shopping malls. You might even find yourself lazing away the day in a hammock.
